Throw Caution to the Wind!
By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be waking up in a Las Vegas suite basking in the afterglow of seeing Lady Gaga perform Cole Porter jazz standards on Halloween.
I have never been someone you’d call an impulsive person. I am very much the typical planner with a spreadsheet fetish. But I decided, after last year, I can’t let another birthday go by without doing something slightly over-the-top. And what could be more over-the-top than a tiny Italian-American woman belting her heart out covered in rhinestones?
So I did it. I booked the flight to Sin City on a whim!
I think a good dose of spontaneity is healthy every once in awhile…When is the last time you threw caution to the wind and acted on your most basic instincts..?

In October, I promised I’d stay put in Chicago for the majority of the month, but clearly Gaga had other plans… If my November goes according to plan, it will be spent mostly home with the exception of spending the Holiday with family.
I will be unavailable November 23-26.
Make sure to set some time aside for us in advance before things get crazy with holiday obligations. I know how hectic things can get this time of year, but amidst the chaos, you have to prioritize treating yourself too!
After last year, I’m lusting to go out again…Chicago is rife with creativity if you know where to look. Right now, I’m fantasizing about an arm around my shoulder during this month’s Art on the Mart. The nightly projections are an extension of Barbara Kruger’s Art Institute exhibit.
I’m sure my love for typography is obvious so its just the show for me! Lets start at the museum, move to dinner, and round off our date by keeping each other warm during the outdoor light show. After that, I’m sure you can figure out what happens other side of the bedroom door…
