Monthly Memoirs & Max's Most Loved
A little round up of what I've been watching, reading, listening to this month
I hope you enjoyed meeting my friends.
I know some of you did…Me and the girls are looking forward to the duos you’ve signed us up for. You are in for a treat! We are about to show you why we are Soul Mates.
As much as I love sharing my boyfriends, I have missed taking the spotlight around these parts. Well, I’m back and here’s a little of what I’ve been up to lately.
Housekeeping:
♥️ I was featured in Hustler Magazine recently for the most wholesome reason possible. They interviewed me on my furniture restoration hobby. A passion I’m looking forward to diving back into once I’m fully moved in. I have art supplies for an upcoming resin project added to my wishlist if you’d like to indulge me.
♥️ Speaking of wishes, with the recent disabling of Wishtender, I have gone back to using Amazon and Luxylist. You can send me a surprise house warming gift via delivery or use the lists as inspiration and bring it with you when we get together. Don’t you want to see me smile in real time?
♥️ And lastly…While I appreciate your reviews of LoveNote, please consider that those are posted publicly automatically with your name. I invite you to use more discretion in the future.
Here’s a little of what I’ve been into lately:
♥️ Getting back into strength training. I did a stint as a Pilates princess, but I missed the deep burn of lifting heavy weights. I love experiencing my body get stronger and do what it could not before.
♥️ The cherry blossoms! We do not get florals like this in Chicago. Spring has truly sprung in Philadelphia!
♥️ Dune took over my life for a moment. I’ve been diving back into sci-fi literature again beginning with a revisit of the audiobook. I recommend listening to it because you can hear the pronunciations of all of the fantastical worlds and cultures, its easier to swallow that way. Don’t make Dune more complicated than it has to be!
♥️ Similarly, I’ve been really into the youtube channel Quinn’s Ideas, which does deep breakdowns of classic sci-fi. Warning: this is page is not for the faint of heart. It is dry, what I would call “book report adjacent” analyses of all the hits from Neuromancer to Three Body Problem. This is for true dorks only. It is deeply intimate that I’m even publicly admitting I watch things like this 🤓
♥️ Book Club Radio. I’ve spoken before about the release of having choices made for you. My brain storms so much better when I have a great playlist on in the background. I get so unnecessarily stressed handpicking the tunes myself, so having these stylish dj sets at the ready helps me get my writing (and body!) in motion.
♥️ Old fashioneds. I live by a rule of “Manhattans in the winter. Old fashioneds in the spring“. I missed sipping the citrusy sweet drinks on outdoor patios. You’re welcome to imagine me doing so in the flimsiest of sundresses.
I’ve been making a point to taste test as many new-to-me bars’ take on the classic as possible. I’ve really enjoyed the one they made for me at The Library Bar so far! Any other local recommendations?
♥️ Buddakan. I would recommend the Schezwan Sour and the Edamame Dumplings…I’m still fantasizing about them! I was fortunate enough to be invited out for a girl’s night at the Philly classic. I’ve been so welcomed by the local ladies so far. A big thank you to Chloe for reaching out and including me. I’m feeling incredibly inspired by the community. I’m truly the luckiest girl in the whole world.
