Max Most Loved ♥️ May
Private cooking lessons, Being wrestled into rest, & Australian demon possession
Here’s what I’m loving this May:
♥️ Learning to cook: I consider myself quite domestic everywhere in the home except for the kitchen. I never took the time to develop past a college freshman culinary skill level. Last month, the infamous Josie Qu stayed in my guest room for a night and treated me to a private 1-on-1 cooking lesson. (In this case, that is not a euphemism) Josie patiently held my hand through the basics and graciously corrected my (many) mistakes. Now that I see that I can do it, I’m loving cooking for the first time. I haven’t stopped mincing herbs and garlic ever since!
♥️ Allowing myself to be taken care of: This is not a natural setting for me. I have learned to be very independent and self-sufficient through out my life, but as I’ve said before, people need people. Even me, if you can believe it!
I’m someone who needs to be somewhat forced into submission when it comes to letting someone else handle it. Just letting it happen without resistance is skill I’m developing. Thank you to my all friends and boyfriends who emotionally wrestle me into being loved and supported.
♥️ Bring Her Back: Admittedly this one is a little preemptive. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I have tickets for this evening and I am jumping out of my skin to see it. I love horror movies, but most don’t scare me to be honest. Talk to Me had parts that really shook my core and I hear this new one is even more brutal. Bring it on!
*If its terrible, I’m coming straight back to edit this post.
♥️ Chilling out on the East Coast all June: May was a little crazy. I am used to a busy travel schedule with lots of last minute changes, but after going back and forth to Chicago twice in 10days, I would like to sit on my couch for a minute. For the next month, I’m going to be focusing on Philly, NYC, and DC. Catch me while I’m home! The road will surely be calling again soon…
♥️ My current workout split: How I am able to maintain a consistent work out schedule with my constant travel is beyond me, but I’m somehow pulling it off. Currently, I do Monday: yoga, Tuesday: pilates, Wednesday: total body strength training, and Thursday: corework and cardio. This feels really balanced to me. I have all my bases covered.
Bring Her Back was so fucking sad. I loved it.
Cooking is so fun if you know the basics you can make just about anything and it can taste amazing
