I know I’m late, but Happy Valentines Day ♥️ Despite how saccharine it is, V Day is one of my favorite holidays. I try to use the day to remind myself to not be cynical. Its very easy to fall into the “It was a capitalist scheme by the greeting company cards!“ mindset, but I choose to resist. That’s a boring take.
Even if its true and Hallmark is out to get us, the worse case scenario is that we spend a day doting on the concept of affection and sweetness, and where is the danger in that? If that makes me a sucker, so be it. I’m happy to be a fool for love.
